Amazon introduces extra FBA fees

Amazon merchants are facing yet another fee. For Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) sales in the U.S. and Canada, a new surcharge of 35 U.S. cents per item is coming specifically for the holiday shopping season. This was reported by the US news site CNBC. All merchants, including those from Europe, who sell goods via Amazon FBA in the two countries will be affected.

Amazon said, according to CNBC, that it is introducing an additional holiday surcharge for the first time because “costs are reaching new heights,” making it more difficult for the company to absorb the costs associated with the key shopping season.

Store operators interested in the topic can still secure a ticket to Multichannelday, which will take place Sept. 1, 2022, at the Rheinruhr Arena in Cologne, Germany. SmartStore will be present again this year as a participant on site with its own booth.
