Put the knowledge learned during your studies at IU International University (IU) to practical use immediately at SmartStore. This has been possible since the summer semester of 2022. IU International University and the e-commerce software manufacturer SmartStore are cooperating in the training of junior staff.
Students of the dual IU degree programs (Business) Informatics, Communication & PR, Media Design and Online Marketing will be able to fill the practical positions at SmartStore plc in the future.

In order to prepare our students ideally for the job market, cooperations with practical companies form an important basis for this. At SmartStore, our students can gain valuable experience parallel to their studies and take on responsibility themselves,” says IU Director of Studies Robert C. Werner.
“The opportunity to recruit and train talented and committed junior staff for SmartStore is very important for our further growth. IU stands out for its practice-oriented proximity to the business community as well as for the competence and experience of the teaching staff,” adds Pavlos Tsulfaidis, CEO and founder of SmartStore plc.
For SmartStore, this is already the second university cooperation in the region.
Since 2021, the company has been working with the private business schools for hotels, gastronomy, trade and services (WIHOGA). From creating a successful customer journey to promotions, newsletter campaigns, customer loyalty, loyalty program or gift certificates, everything necessary for a successful online business is directly integrated into Smartstore. Further, SmartStore participates in WIHOGA e-commerce classes with guest lecturers from technology and sales. In addition, SmartStore offers internships in the software house and also with friendly companies and Smartstore store operators.
Currently, software from SmartStore is used by more than 20 educational institutions.
Among them are the Volkswagen Bildungsinstitut GmbH, the Bfz-Essen GmbH and the central office of the German training firm ring.
