If you work a lot on your store, you will be familiar with this: You have created an information page and given it a nice title. For this purpose, the store system has automatically generated an SEO-suitable, “speaking” URL with which shop visitors can call up the page in their browser.
But for some reason the title of your info page and therefore the URL is no longer appropriate.
Maybe because you mentioned a brand there that you no longer sell. Or because the winter season is over and you just want to update the post to “spring”.
Nevertheless, you do not want visitors from winter to be led to nowhere with the inappropriate old URL.
Then you should know: with Smartstore you do not have to worry. Visitors with an old URL will be automatically redirected to the new URL you entered, visitors with the new URL will of course not notice anything.
If you want to edit these SEO URLs, you can go to the System --> SEO-Names section for each elements that support it (products, pages, blog posts and many more). There you will find a list of all "talking" SEO URLs in the store system. Often there is even a button in the elements directly to the attached URLs
You can easily delete unnecessary URLs from this SEO names list. It's simple and requires only one click.
