Surveys give you as a store operator the opportunity to analyze the behavior of your customers by asking them directly about their preferences, wishes or plans for the future. The survey plugin "Surveys" in Smartstore enables store operators to carry out such surveys simply and easily: directly on the online store.
Examples of possible customer surveys
Find out whether your store visitors are missing any payment methods by simply asking them:
What additional payment methods would you like to see in the store?
Query customers' purchasing preferences
Imagine you are selling books. In this case, you would like to know which new releases are particularly eagerly awaited by your customers. For this purpose, you could start a survey in which you ask which future new releases they are particularly interested in. In this way, you can estimate the order volume on the release date of the title in question.
Creating and configuring a survey
You can create surveys by going to CMS > Surveys in the Smartstore admin area and clicking on the blue "New" button at the top right of the survey overview.
The name of the poll is also the question you want your customers to vote on. You can also specify a time period for the poll to be active.
The answers your customers can choose from and the order in which they are displayed can be specified in the Answers tab. If you select "Show on homepage", the survey will be displayed prominently on the store's homepage.
After clicking on "Save", the poll will be displayed in the store.

Store operators can call up an overview of the customer responses in the backend.
The survey plugin is an in-house development by SmartStore AG. It is included in the Premium Flat and is available in the Marketplace from the release of Smartstore V5.
